Originally from rural California, Jake’s path to engineering was atypical, but driven by a core desire to tackle what was in front of him and make the most of his life, qualities that continue to define his work today.

After moving to Massachusetts over five years ago, Jake has planted roots, raising his kids in a great school system, exploring the seasons that are new to him in New England, and building a firm that delivers clarity, confidence, and the kind of execution that’s aligned with each project’s goals, whether that means speed, cost-efficiency, technical precision, or all of the above.

Outside of engineering, Jake is a drummer, weightlifter, and gamer, usually joined by his wife and kids for late-night co-op. He also enjoys long walks and deep conversations, especially when mentoring young engineers or interviewing guests for his podcast, The Impactful Engineer, which focuses on mindset, leadership, and career growth in the AEC world.

Jake believes great engineering isn’t just about systems and specs, it’s about judgment, discipline, and making others better through the work.
